EnCana to hold news media conference call on OGC report into failure of piping near Pouce Coupe, B.C.

Calgary, Alberta, (February 4, 2010) - EnCana Corporation will hold a news media conference call and webcast today at 2:00 p.m. MT to address the events and issues outlined in a report published today by the BC Oil and Gas Commission into the failure of piping that occurred on November 22, 2009 near Pouce Coupe, B.C.

Mike McAllister, Vice-President, Canadian Deep Basin Business Unit, will provide EnCana's preliminary response to the report and provide an update on EnCana's internal investigation of the event and outline the extensive measures EnCana has undertaken to prevent it from happening again.
