Friday, November 20 marked the grand re-opening of Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus, featuring a host of new exhibits, including the new Energy exhibit sponsored by Encana.
Announced in April, our five year, $1 million investment in the museum supports the Energy exhibit and is an example of our long-time support for STEM-based educational programs. The exhibit spans 2,100 square feet and illustrates the power and playfulness of energy in many forms. Through various exhibit components including a hot air balloon launch, air cannon, solar energy station and rocket launch, children explore how stored energy provides power and discover how we find, collect, store and transform fossil fuels.
The exhibit provides an excellent opportunity for children and families in Colorado to learn about energy by providing an interactive experience that Encana is proud to support. Encana is working with the Museum to provide free admission to select elementary schools in the Denver area.
