Filings and applications

The Deep Panuke project received regulatory approval and was sanctioned by Encana’s Board of Directors for development in 2007.

Leading up to these decisions, Encana filed regulatory applications pertaining to the Deep Panuke project in 2006, including:

• a Development Plan Application filed with the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board,
• an Environmental Assessment Report under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, and
• an Application to the National Energy Board for approval of the construction and operation of an offshore pipeline.

In August 2006, Encana filed its Project Description to initiate the environmental assessment phase of the regulatory process.
