Renee Zemljak

Executive Vice-President, Midstream, Marketing & Fundamentals

As Executive Vice-President, Midstream, Marketing & Fundamentals, Renee is responsible for introducing Encana as a natural gas supplier of choice, maximizing the company’s netback prices and optimizing the profitability of our midstream assets.

Renee has more than 19 years of experience in the energy industry including technical leadership positions at North American Resources Company, Montana Power Trading & Marketing Company and one of Encana’s predecessor companies.

Driven toward value creation, Renee has a track record for developing and executing midstream and marketing strategies in the natural gas industry. She has developed fully functioning multi-commodity marketing teams; designed and implemented comprehensive energy risk management programs; and led the analysis of regional supply/demand relationships in the North American natural gas markets. Her leadership has been instrumental in the development and execution of Encana’s strategic plan as it relates to long-term marketing initiatives.

In 2002 Renee became Vice-President of USA Marketing at Encana which led to her position as Vice-President of USA Midstream & Marketing in 2009.

Renee received Bachelor of Science degrees in both finance and accounting, with an emphasis on computers, from the University of Montana.

Renee volunteers with the international non-profit organization Dress for Success Worldwide. Renee was born in Denver. She and her husband Ed have two sons.
